We are very aware of the South African socio-economic context in which we operate. It is our earnest desire to make a difference by providing access to justice to people who cannot afford to pay.

It is in line with this goal that Michalsons have acted as pro bono legal advisers to black ICT start-up businesses as part of the “Launchpad Program” run by the Cape Information Technology Initiative (CITI). CITI is an association incorporated not for gain to promote jobs and prosperity through ICT in the Western Cape.

In March 2006 the Cape Law Society concluded joint venture agreements with a number of structures, recognising them as points of delivery and referral bodies for pro bono services in terms of the Society’s Rules. Michalsons is committed to supporting this initiative.
