Helaine Leggat has passed the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) exam.

Lance Michalson has the following expertise:

Member of Working Group 1 on Security and Privacy initiated by the Department of Communications in the Green Paper process (1999)
Conducted research for, and advised the Department of Communications on possible policy approaches towards encryption - including issues relating to encryption import and export controls (2001)
Member of Department of Communications ECT Act drafting Committee (2001)
Conceptualised and authored the PKI legal framework for Certification Authorities in South Africa when drafting the ECT Act chapters on “Authentication Service Providers” and “Cryptography Providers” (2001)
Member of Government Task Team responsible for drafting ECT Act Regulations for the Accreditation Authority and Cryptography Providers (2002)
Member of drafting team of the Information Security Best Practice Guide to King II Report on Corporate Governance for South Africa on the instructions of the Institute of Directors (2003-2005)
Member of drafting team of Escrow Best Practice Guide to King II Report on Corporate Governance for South Africa on the instructions of the Institute of Directors (2006)
Member, ICT Governance sub-committee, King III Report on Corporate Governance for South Africa (2009)
