Lance Michalson is an experienced commercial lawyer who understands technology. He has been at the forefront of IT law in South Africa for over 14 years.
He was commissioned by the Department of Communications to assist draft the ECT Act in 2001 and was also a drafter of the Information Security Best Practice Guide to the King II Report on Corporate Governance for South Africa on the instructions of the Institute of Directors in 2005.
He focuses on information law and electronic business activities, including information security, information management, data privacy, digital signatures, PKI, and the development and / or implementation of technology solutions and the on-going support and maintenance for those solutions.
